Motorcyclist transported to hospital

The driver of a motorcycle was transported to an area hospital for treatment after reportedly being struck by a vehicle at around 11 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of Routes 405 and 44, Dewart. Initial reports indicated the driver was unresponsive immediately following the crash. The Warrior Run Area Fire Department, an ambulance and fire police from Milton, and Pennsylvania State Police responded to the scene. A Life Flight helicopter was initially placed on standby, but was not called to the scene. The Standard-Journal will release additional details on the crash as they are released by police.
