Kelsey’s Dream donates snacks for hospitalized children

Kelsey’s Dream created the snack program in 2007 for children with cancer that have appointments at Geisinger, Danville. The children select snacks, juice boxes or if they are there for all-day treatments or procedures. They can select Kraft macaroni and cheese, oatmeal or Chef Boyardee microwave meals. Recently, arrangements were made with Geisinger Childlife Department to meet outside of the hospital with a cart to transport donations. Tina Kuhns, volunteer and CEO of Kelsey’s Dream, prepares to unload donations. The medical team said the kids really look forward to selecting snacks during their appointments, organizers noted.
