Warrior Run 7
Danville 0
NORTHUMBERLAND — Warrior Run got another shutout, this time by pitcher Steff Shamburg, to beat Danville 7-0 in a winner’s bracket game at Acorn Park on Saturday.
The win sets up a game with Mifflinburg at 5:30 p.m. today. Both teams are undefeated in the District 13 Major softball tournament.
“I was hoping we’d win again,” said Shamburg. “I have defense to back me up.”
“Steff pitched a fabulous game,” said Warrior Run coach Billy Parker. “One inning she threw four pitches to get three outs.”
More importantly, Shamburg and her team had the bats.
“That’s what they needed to work on,” said Parker. “Everybody did a great job, it was a whole team effort.”
Warrior Run amassed 13 hits on Saturday and they know they’ll need to do the same tonight.
“It’s going to be a tough tournament,” he said. “It’s going to be tough...”

TURBOTVILLE — The Lewisburg Junior baseball All-Stars were unable to overcome an early Selinsgrove lead as they fell into the elimination bracket Sunday afternoon at the Franz-Moser Complex.
Lewisburg will play the loser of the Mifflinburg/Milton game on Thursday.
Selinsgrove scored seven runs before the Green team could get their bats going. By the end of the fifth, though, Lewisburg had scored five runs and had loaded the bases to threaten more runs, but Selinsgrove was able to get out of the jam.
An error filled sixth inning was too much for Lewisburg to overcome as they succumbed early via the mercy rule.
