Jade Swartz

Warrior Run’s Jade Swartz catches a foul tip in the top of the fifth inning of Friday’s game against Towanda.

TURBOTVILLE — Another no-hitter thrown by Madi Waltman helped produce a dominating 10-0, five-inning victory over Towanda in the nonleague contest on Friday.

Waltman struck out 13 as she got all the run support in the world during the game.

After a scoreless first inning, the Defenders put three runs on the board in the second and fourth innings, and two runs in the third and fifth.

All added up, it keeps Warrior Run (17-2) rolling as the postseason starts next week.

Offensively for the Defenders, Waltman helped her own cause out with a two-hit day. In addition, Marissa Pick and Kaelyn Watson both hit home runs, plus Valandra McHenry doubled and Jade Swartz had two hits.

Warrior Run ends its regular season with a nonleague game at Mifflinburg today at 4:30 p.m.
