MIFFLINBURG — Linda C. Walter, 64, of 695 Buffalo Creek Road, Mifflinburg, died at 7:53 p.m. Saturday, June 28, 2008, in Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
Born Jan. 31, 1944, in Millmont, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Grace (Dorman) Catherman.
She and her husband, Robert F. Walter, were married Oct. 4, 1963, in the United Methodist Church of Millmont.
Mrs. Walter graduated from Mifflinburg High School with the Class of 1962.
She assisted in the operation of the family business, B S & B Repair, Mifflinburg, from 1985 to her retirement in 2005.
Mrs. Walter attended Christ Community Church, Glen Iron, for the past 22 years.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, crocheting, cooking and reading the Bible.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Shawn F. and Cris M. Walter of Millmont and Brad F. and Angie L. Walter of Millmont; a daughter and son-in-law, Nikki L. and Adam J. Shemory of Mifflinburg; six grandchildren, Melissa Stahl and her husband Jason, Tyler Walter, Tanner F. Walter, Vanessa Walter, Morgan Shemory and Blake Shemory; a great-granddaughter, Reagan Stahl; two brothers, Stanley Catherman of Penns Creek and Glenn Catherman of California; three sisters, Jane Hendricks of Millmont, Jean Herrold of Hartleton and Norma Hackenberg of Millmont.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Guy and Neil Catherman; and two sisters, Phyllis Hursh and Dauna Hackenberg.
A private family viewing will be held Tuesday evening.
A memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Christ Community Church, 2746 Route 235, Glen Iron, with the Rev. Henry Dorman, officiating.
Burial will be in Hartleton Cemetery.
