SELINSGROVE — Dorothy E. Miller, 83, of 718 Bogar Drive, Selinsgrove, died Wednesday, July 1, 2008, in Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, Lewisburg.
Born March 2, 1925, in Lewisburg, she was the daughter of Daniel and Dorothy (Deitrich) Danowsky.
Her husband of 51 years, Martin L. Miller, died June 20, 1998.
For the past seven years, Mrs. Miller enjoyed playing bingo and helping at the Northumberland County Area Agency on Aging in Coal Township.
She was a former member of the Ramblers Club.
Mrs. Miller is survived by a son, Roger Miller of rural Mifflinburg; two daughters, Elaine Young of rural Lewisburg and Sherry Evans of Selinsgrove; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Charlotte Hartranft of New Columbia and Marlene Baker of West Milton; and four brothers, Wayne Danowsky of Harrisburg and Charlie Danowsky, Harold Danowsky and Franklin Danowsky, all of Lewisburg.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Dorothy Bridge; a son, Larry Miller; two sisters, Phyllis Snyder and Evelyn Kratzer; and a brother, Arlon Danowsky.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the John H. Shaw III Funeral Home, 801 Market St., Lewisburg, with the Rev. Ted Keating officiating. Interment will be in Mazeppa Cemetery.
Friends and relatives will be received from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday in the funeral home.
