MIFFLINBURG — Norman D. Kouf, 86, of 174 Baker Hollow Road, Mifflinburg, died at 3:56 a.m. Monday, May 5, 2008, in his home.   
Born July 26, 1921, in Ithaca, N.Y., he was the son of the late Norman V. and Emma (Hoffman) Kouf. 
He and his wife, the former Esther M. McFall, were married Aug. 30, 1940, in Enfield Center, N.Y. She survives.
Mr. Kouf served in the U.S. Army from March 21, 1945, until being honorably discharged Dec. 7, 1946.
He retired in 1984 as the service manger at Agway, Lewisburg.   
Mr. Kouf enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodworking.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Melvin D. Kouf of Flemington; two daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce M. and James Harding of Beaver Springs and Janice E. and Jeffrey Killian of New Columbia; a brother and sister-in-law, David E. and Cil Kouf of Lansing, N.Y.; a sister, Lorraine Goodman of Ithaca, N.Y.; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Kouf was preceded in death by three sisters, Winefred Frankenstien, Francis Beach and Vivian Quakenbush.
Private services will be at the family’s convenience.
Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s local hospice.
Arrangements are under the care of the Schwartz-Adamo Funeral and Cremation Services, 247 Chestnut St., Mifflinburg.
