MIFFLINBURG — Enos D. Miller, 92, of 165 Wirth Road, Mifflinburg, for the past 20 years, and formerly of Limestone Township, died at 12:23 p.m. Sunday, May 11, 2008, in his home.
Born July 2, 1915, in Dover, Del., he was the son of the late David and Elizabeth (Christner) Miller.
He and his wife, the former Sadie Y. Mast, were married Sept. 19, 1935. She died Oct. 26, 1986.
Mr. Miller operated a blacksmith shop on Eighth Street in Mifflinburg in 1962. He then was employed at the Mifflinburg Farmer’s Exchange and was a taxi driver for many years.
He was a member of the Shady Grove Christian Fellowship.
Mr. Miller enjoyed woodworking and built over 20 grandfather clocks. He completed the construction of his last clock in 2004.
He is survived by seven sons and daughters-in-law, Joe and Cora Miller, Dan and Anna Miller, Allen and Naomi Miller, all of Mifflinburg, Willie and Martha Miller of Richmond, Mo., David and Anna Miller of Millmont, Ray and Irene Miller of Wytheville, Va., and Mervin and Frances Miller of Mifflinburg; a daughter and son-in-law, Susanna and John Miller of Mifflinburg; 53 grandchildren; 130 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by was a daughter, Elizabeth; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitors may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Shady Grove Christian Fellowship, 5327 Buffalo Road, Mifflinburg.
The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday in the church with ministers Dave King, Simon Bender and Lewis Hoover officiating. Burial will be in the Vicksburg Mennonite Church Cemetery.
