LEWISBURG — Opal J. Hollenbach, 81, of Lewisburg, died Sunday, June 22, 2008, in Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
Born Sept. 1, 1926, in Scotland, South Dakota, she was a daughter of the late Stover and Mary (Stover) Hess.
She and her husband, Donald E. Hollenbach, were married Jan. 16, 1947. He died April 16, 2007.
Mrs. Hollenbach first worked for Westinghouse in Sunbury and then went to work for Canteen Vending Co., where she stocked the machines at Chef Boyardee until leaving to raise her son, Dean. She later worked at Kentucky Fried Chicken, Lewisburg, and as a laborer at American Home Foods, Milton.
She attended the Mifflinburg Church of the Nazarene.
Mrs. Hollenbach enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Dean and Sara Hollenbach of West Milton; a brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Betty Hess of Millmont; a sister, Doris Shively of Millmont; and two grandsons, Stone J. Hollenbach and Dean J. Hollenbach, both of West Milton. 
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ethel Wert; and a brother, Ray Hess.
Visitors may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday in the Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, South Second and St. Louis streets, Lewisburg
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home with the Rev. Wayne Krell, pastor of Mifflinburg Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Burial will follow in Lewisburg Cemetery.
The family will provide the flowers. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, Lycoming Unit, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, Pa. 17701.
