LEWISBURG — Marion R. Meixell, 97, a resident of RiverWoods, Lewisburg, and formerly of Bloomsburg, died suddenly Tuesday, May 6, 2008, in the nursing home.
Born July 6, 1910, in Fairmount Springs, she was the daughter of the late Torrance A. and Catherine E. (Hazeltine) Meixell.
Ms. Meixell graduated from Scott Township High School and Bloomsburg State Teacher’s College.
She taught in the Philadelphia area for a number of years.
Ms. Meixell was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Espy, and Wesley United Methodist Church, Bloomsburg.
She is survived by two nieces, Ann F. Diseroad of Bloomsburg; and Barbara Nuernberger of Jacksonville, Fla.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers; and two sisters.
Arrangements are under the care of the Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, South Second and St. Louis streets, Lewisburg.
