MILTON — Helen M. Schell, 85, a resident of Kramm Healthcare, Milton, and formerly of Fernville and Hepburn Street, Milton, died Saturday evening, May 3, 2008, in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born May 7, 1922, in Milton, she was the daughter of the late Raymond B. and Ethel (Mincemoyer) Shultz.
Her husband of 63 years, Clair E. Schell, died in 2005.
Mrs. Schell worked at the Silk Mill, Bloomsburg, and Fox Knapp, Milton, as a seamstress until 1958.
She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Chris, Milton.
Mrs. Schell was a member of the Quad Man Club for the handicapped.
She enjoyed collecting antiques, attending flea markets, collecting post cards, visiting family and babysitting.
Mrs. Schell is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Sandra R. and Peter Godfrey of Milton and Carol A. Schell and her friend Jane Richardson of Marysville, Ohio; two grandchildren, Traci K. Ferguson and Craig P. Godfrey and his fiance Lisa Bauman; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Florence Bloss of Catawissa and Marge Dunkan of Selinsgrove; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Paul C. Shultz in 1960.
Visitors may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday in the John H. Shaw III Funeral Home, Market and Eighth streets, Lewisburg.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with the Rev. John H. Shaw III officiating. Burial will be in Milton Cemetery.
The family will provide flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
