WATSONTOWN — Carson D. Wagner, 94, of Watsontown, died Monday, April 22, 2019, at Watsontown Health and Rehab Center.

Born June 24, 1924, in Winfield, he was a son of the late Luther and Mary (Hollenbach) Wagner. On Jan. 1, 1944, he married the former Eleanor Sherwood and together they celebrated 75 years of marriage.

Mr. Wagner served honorably in the United States Army during World War II. He retired from the former American Home Foods, now ConAgra, Milton. Following retirement, he owned and operated the former Wagner’s Golf Gas Station, Montgomery.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Watsontown.

Mr. Wagner was a life member of the Watsontown Masonic Lodge No. 401.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter and son-in-law, Anna and Dana Poust, of Jersey Shore; a brother, Richard Wagner; six grandchildren, Walter, Carson, Dale and Timothy Wagner, Christina Sims and Merrill Shamblen and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one son, Carson E. Wagner.

Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 308 Main St., Watsontown, where a Masonic Service will be held at 9:45 a.m. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. with his pastor, the Rev. Paul A. Smith, officiating.

Burial with full military honors will be held in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.
