MILTON — Terry W. Guisewite, 51, of South Front Street, Milton, died Sunday, Nov. 27, 2011, at his home.
Born Nov. 1, 1960, in Lewisburg, he was the son of Herman Guisewite Sr. of Milton and the late Leona (Leon) Poust. He was married to the former Debra Shelley for 29 years. She survives.
Mr. Guisewite had served in the United States Marine Corps.
A 1979 graduate of the Milton High School, he was employed by Penn Lyon Homes and previously with Moyer’s Drywall.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Milton. He volunteered with the Salvation Army, manning kettles during the holidays.
In addition to his wife and father; he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Leann and Christopher Surber of Milton; three grandchildren, Kendra, Daylyn and Karaleena; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Debra and Robert Loreman of Milton and Jean Ann Guisewite of New Columbia; a brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Elaine Guisewite of Lewisburg; his stepfather, Alvin Poust of Milton; and his father- and mother-in-law, Lawrence and Mae Walker of Milton and Grant Shelley Jr. of Harrisburg.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Kenneth Zettlemoyer and Christopher Guisewite; a brother, Herman Guisewite Jr.; and a sister, Regina Guisewite Smith.
Friends and relatives will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Shaw Funeral Home, 400 N. Front St., Milton. A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Salvation Army, 30 Center St., Milton. Officiating will be Majors Ray and Ruth Bartholomew.
Memorial contributions in his name may be made to the Shaw Funeral Home to help with the funeral expenses.
