MILTON — James R. Keiser, 80, of Milton, died Thursday, March 21, 2019, at his home.
Born Aug. 27, 1938, in Milton, he was the son of the late Jack and Mary (Rearick) Keiser. He was married to the former Anna Eisenhauer. Together they celebrated 60 years of marriage.
A 1956 graduate of Milton High School and had worked for Milton Steel for over 40 years. He had served in the Pa. Army National Guard.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Loyal Order of Moose and the VFW, all of Milton, the NRA, Keystoner’s Drum and Bugle Corps and Lewis Hunting Camp in Snow Shoe.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Michele L. Bastian and her husband Richard of Milton; three grandchildren, Alexandra, Alyssa and Brandon; a brother, David Keiser and his wife Marilyn of Milton; and three sisters, Linda Sue Baker and her husband Ted of Milton, Virginia Showers of New Columbia, and Lisa Keiser of Mount Carmel.
He was preceded in death by three infant sons, a brother, Jack “Sonny” Keiser Jr. and three sisters, Gloria Cromley, Peg Chappell and Donna Engleman.
Friends and relatives will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Shaw Funeral Home, 400 N. Front St., Milton. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church, 47 Walnut St., Milton, with the Rev. Dr. Stephen G. Shirk. Burial will follow in Milton Cemetery.
