Mary Lesher

LEWISBURG — Mary Kathryn Lesher, 93, of Lewisburg, died Friday, June 7, 2019, at RiverWoods Senior Living, Lewisburg.

She was born Sept. 17, 1925, and was the daughter of the late John E. and Bessie E. (Berkheimer) Lesher.

Mary worked for Buoy’s Stationary, Milton, and then went on to own and operate Lesher Stationary, Milton, for 15 years before retiring in 1989.

She was a member of Follmer Lutheran Church, Milton, and was a secretary of the Sunday School Committee. She enjoyed reading, traveling and going to the beach, playing her guitar and singing with her sisters at church picnics when as well as playing jax when she was younger. She was a very dedicated aunt and dearly loved her nieces and nephews.

Mary is survived by two nephews and their wives, James E. and Gladys Rife Jr. of Elizabethtown and John D. and Irene Rife of Catawissa; one niece and her husband, Sandra K. and David Dersham of McEwensville, along with numerous great- and great-great-nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by one brother, Clarence S. Lesher; two sisters, Hattie M. Travlet and Helen P. Snyder; and two nephews, Ronald E. Rife and Donald E. Rife and his wife Nancy Rife who survives.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Follmer Lutheran Church, 70 S. Mill St., Potts Grove, PA 17865.

A public viewing for Mary will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Dale Ranck Cremation & Funeral Care, 125 N. Front St., Milton, followed by the funeral at 11 with the Rev. Thomas Glasoe officiating. Burial will follow in Milton Cemetery.
