MILTON — Clarence W. “Chum” Leon, 87, of Milton, died Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born in Milton, he was the son of the late Mary Leon Rathburn.

He was married to the former Dorothy Walls. Together, they celebrated 60 years of marriage.

Mr. Leon attended Milton schools.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Mr. Leon retired from American Home Foods in 1994.

He was a member of the American Legion and VFW, both of Milton.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Crystal D. Diehl of Milton, Barbara A. Boudman and her husband David of Milton, and Cindy Shrawder and her husband Robin of Milton; five grandchildren, John F. Faubion Jr. and his companion Stacy Unangst, Robin D. Shrawder Jr. and his companion Megan Scott, Brian K. Shrawder and his wife Diana, S. Michael Shrawder, and Jennifer S. Faubion and her companion Ed Aikey; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth Rathburn of Milton and Abram Rathburn of Sunbury; and three sisters, Linda Danowsky of Lewisburg, Margaret Bogle of Milton, and Carlotta Robles of Milton.

He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Jack D. Diehl; three brothers, William Rathburn, Robert Rathburn and Russell Rathburn; and three sisters, Ameda Reynolds, Joanne Reich and Ruth Clemens.

Graveside services with military honors will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 9, in Harmony Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the care of the Shaw Funeral Home 400 N. Front St. Milton.
