Turbotville, Pa. -

Pennsylvania Crimestoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person who intentionally torched a barn Wednesday, Nov. 28, along Betz Road, Anthony Township, Montour County.
State police at Milton said the fire broke out at 6:10 p.m. in a barn owned by Frank Cotner. Damage to the barn was estimated at $120,000.
Warrior Run Area firefighter Wayne Hawley sustained a severe spinal injury after the front of the barn collapsed on him. Hawley is currently recovering in Jefferson Medical Center in Philadelphia.
Police are also investigating several other suspicious blazes which have broken out in the same area in recent months.
On Wednesday, Nov. 21, police said someone intentionally set fire to the rear of Clark’s Ag Center, Turbotville. Those flames were quickly doused, and damage to the building was estimated at less than $100.
Due to extensive damage, police were unable to determine the cause of a blaze which leveled a garage at 985 Schreck Road, Delaware Township Thursday, Dec. 20.
Anyone with information on the Montour County fire should call Pennsylvania Crimestoppers at 1-800-4PA-TIPS.
