HERSHEY — He had planned it since he was a kid.

On Saturday, Mifflinburg’s Cole Walter was able to execute the flip on the Hershey Resilite after winning a state wrestling championship.

Walter, Mifflinburg’s seventh state champ, downed John Vaughn, of Boiling Springs, 9-4, at 160 pounds to take PIAA gold.

Walter wrapped his season season at 41-1 and his career — which included multiple sectional, district and regional titles — with a 161-14 record.
