Surveillance shows jailed Mount Carmel man was with Milton woman hours before she was shot

SHAMOKIN — A Milton woman who was shot early Saturday morning near Shamokin exchanged text messages regarding “ecstasy,” “coke” and “dope” prior to sustaining a gunshot wound to the head, according to police records.

Salicia Yost, 20, remains hospitalized in critical condition at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, after being found shot inside her vehicle, which had crashed at around 5:30 a.m. Saturday along Irish Valley Road near Shamokin.
