Stephanie Lynn McGinniss and Edric Elliot Fetter were united in marriage in a 4:30 p.m. ceremony on April 5, 2008, in the Rotunda of the Pennsylvania State Capitol Building. Honorable John F. Cherry officiated.
The wedding date was chosen in honor and loving memory of “Mommo” (Edith E. Green), the bride’s great-grandmother.
The couple portrayed a Celtic-themed wedding ceremony complete with bagpiper and harpist. After the ceremony, the bagpiper escorted the bridal party and guests to the reception at The Civic Club of Harrisburg on foot in a traditional Celtic bridal march. At the club, they were greeted by Celtic dancers.
The bride is the daughter of Steven and Diana McGinniss of Watsontown. She graduated from Warrior Run High School, Turbotville, in 1998 and Central Penn College, Summerdale, in 2000. She is employed by the state as a commodity specialist.
The groom is the son of Joel and Claudia Fetter of Etters. He graduated from Red Land High School, Lewisberry, in 1990 and Penn State University in 1994. He is employed by RVG Management & Development Co., Wormleysburg, as a commercial developer.
Stephanie Austin of Bloomsburg served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Amanda Smith of Mapleton Depot, Danelle Watson of Boiling Springs and Sarah Davis, sister of the groom.
Mike Reitz of Dauphin served as best man. Groomsmen were Jason Hockenberry of Duncannon, Bob Gothier Sr. of Dillsburg and Roger Davis Jr., brother-in-law of the groom.
Ushers were Justin, Ian and Cullen McGinniss, brothers of the bride, and Kyle Davis, nephew of the groom.
Kylee Younger of Bloomsburg served as flower girl.
Lane Snyder, cousin of the bride, served as ring bearer.
The couple honeymooned in Antigua. They reside in Mechanicsburg.
