John and Carol Parkinson of Milton will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on June 26.
They were married in the Episcopal Church in Jeannette.
The Parkinsons recently went on a two-week cruise to Egypt, Turkey and Greece to celebrate their anniversary.
They have three children: Cindy Metzger of New Columbia, Jeff of Paxinos and John of Coholton, N.Y.; and six grandchildren, Meghan Kuester, Mandy, Reece and Hunter Metzger; Aurelis and Brianna Parkinson.
When asked what is their advice to other couples on their successful marriage, they stated “Compromise is very important. No matter what today brings, tomorrow is another day. Rest some, love much and laugh often.”
